BreakAway

We offer a diversion initiative that surrounds justice-involved youth and young adults with empowering support as they move through the justice system. BreakAway  is a community driven pathway, partnering with local community-minded businesses that share our mission. Together we create informal internship opportunities that not only meet community-service requirements but also build skills, confidence, and a stronger connection to the community.

BreakAway Goals

1. Encourage personal growth and help youth & young adults stay safely connected to their communities.

2. Uncover the root causes behind their decisions and work with them to build meaningful pathways toward success and stability.

3. Reduce exposure to incarceration.

Who Can Participate

BreakAway  is open to youth and young adults ages 16-21 who are either required to complete community service or are considered at risk and may benefit from extra structure and support.
