JC's commitment to this work is deeply personal. As a mother, she walked beside her own loved one as he journeyed through the criminal justice system and has experienced firsthand the heartbreak, frustration, and missed support opportunities that come with being pushed into the adult system too soon.
Through every court date, setback, and systemic barrier, she fought relentlessly—not just for her loved one's future, but for his dignity. She understands the pull of the streets, the weight of a criminal record, and the pain of feeling overlooked. But she also knows the power of second chances, community, and unwavering love.
Operation Resurge was born from that fight. JC now uses her experience & compassion to walk alongside other families facing similar struggles. Her mission is clear: to ensure that justice-involved youth have the opportunity to rise, rebuild, & reclaim their future.

Founder's Story
I didn’t grow up imagining I would one day lead a nonprofit for youth and families. My path wasn’t straight, and it wasn’t easy. I learned early what it feels like to stand at a crossroads — to know you’re capable of more, but not yet know how to get there.
For me, the military became that better pathway. It was the place where I rebuilt my confidence, learned discipline, and discovered a version of myself I didn’t know existed. It taught me perseverance when things were hard, self‑respect when doubt crept in, and the power of being part of a team that believes in something bigger than itself.
I saw firsthand how camaraderie can lift you, how pride in your work can change you, and how core values — excellence, integrity, and service before self — can anchor your entire life. Those values didn’t stay behind when I hung up the uniform. They became the foundation of who I am and how I lead.
Operation Resurge was born from that same place of purpose. I know what it feels like to need a new direction. I know what it means to be given a chance to rise. And I know our youth deserve pathways that help them avoid the justice system, reclaim their potential, and see themselves as worthy of something greater.
Every program we build, every family we support, every young person we stand beside — it all comes from that belief. The belief that with the right guidance, the right community, and the right opportunities, anyone can rise.
My journey taught me that transformation is possible. Operation Resurge exists to make sure our youth get that same chance.
